Chiller

The products which have been thermo-treated will be carried into the chiller and will go through water showering and cold air cooling.

Product Details:

●Characteristics:

1. When the products reach the required value of the core temperature, they will be transported to the packing area directly.

2.Usually, the core temperature is between 6-8°C after chilling.

3. The sausages with natural casing or fibrous casing, and ham or other similar products can be used in this chiller.

4. Optional refrigerant: liquid ammonia, Freon or ethylene glycol

5. Adjustable showering time, cold air temperature, time and final core temperature

6. Modularized chamber construction

7. Advantages:

◇Save more than 65% cooling time, speed up products turnover.

◇Reduce energy consumption, less space needed, less weight loss.

◇Rapidly pass the sensitive temperature range (15-55°C) of bacteria reproducing.

Product Knowledge

What are the benefits of using liquid ammonia, Freon, or ethylene glycol as refrigerants in the chiller?
Using liquid ammonia, Freon, or ethylene glycol as refrigerants in the chiller offers several benefits:
Efficiency: These refrigerants have excellent heat transfer properties, allowing for efficient cooling of the products within the Meat Smokehouse Chiller.
Versatility: They can operate across a wide range of temperatures, making them suitable for various chilling applications.
Reliability: Liquid ammonia, Freon, and ethylene glycol are commonly used in industrial refrigeration systems due to their reliability and stability.
Cost-Effectiveness: While initial setup costs may vary, these refrigerants are generally cost-effective in the long run due to their efficiency and availability.
Environmental Considerations: Although Freon has been phased out in many applications due to its ozone-depleting properties, newer alternatives have been developed with lower environmental impact. Ethylene glycol, for example, is less harmful to the environment.
Safety: Properly handled and managed, these refrigerants can be used safely in industrial applications. However, it's crucial to follow safety protocols and regulations to mitigate any potential risks.

How does the chiller system handle potential issues like condensation or icing?
The chiller system likely employs various techniques to handle potential issues like condensation or icing, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
Insulation: The chiller system is likely insulated to minimize heat transfer and prevent condensation on external surfaces. High-quality insulation materials help maintain stable temperatures inside the Meat Smokehouse Chiller, reducing the risk of condensation formation.
Temperature Control: Precise temperature control within the chiller prevents the formation of ice or frost on the cooling surfaces. The system may employ sensors and control mechanisms to maintain temperatures within a specific range, avoiding excessively low temperatures that could lead to icing.
Defrosting: If icing occurs despite temperature control measures, the chiller system may have a defrosting mechanism to remove ice buildup periodically. This process could involve temporarily stopping the cooling cycle and applying heat or warm air to melt the ice.
Air Circulation: Proper airflow within the chiller helps distribute cold air evenly and prevents stagnant conditions where condensation or ice could accumulate. Fans or blowers may be installed to maintain consistent air circulation throughout the chiller chamber.
Humidity Control: Regulating humidity levels within the chiller can help prevent condensation from forming on surfaces. Some chiller systems may include features like dehumidifiers or humidity sensors to manage moisture levels effectively.
